Hello and thanks for stopping by. This is a blog about faith, food and life, hope you enjoy, and if not at least smile – you’ll feel better. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, maybe topics you would like to talk about let me know. This is supposed to be fun, at times probably serious. Check back often, there just might be something of interest for you. Remember Faith in God – Good Food – Good Life is the key to living happy.

Faith

Faith to me is believing in something that cannot be seen. God nor Heaven can be seen by us yet I have faith that they are real. The air we breath cannot be seen yet we are alive. In Hebrews 11 it talks a lot about faith and many who had it. The first verse says ” Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (KJV). If you have a Bible and would like to know more read Hebrews 11. This passage in the Bible can improve your faith just by knowing the truths that are within it.

Food

Food is something we need along with water so our bodies survive. I am sure I do not need as much food to survive as I consume, but food makes me happy. Sometimes I think people believe food just magically appears. They can just go to the store and BAM there it is, forgetting about the process involved in getting there.

God provides the seed, earth and weather along with the hands to plant and harvest. Farmers received the desire to do this from God and do it well, through hard work, long hours and learning. Truck drivers also have the desire to deliver from God, without them the world as we know it would stop. They not only deliver our food but clothing, fuel, essential items and accessories we desire. Without the truckstops, mechanics, roads, cashiers, stockers and many others our food would not be on that shelf.

Let us all say a prayer for these as they do their work to keep our store shelves stocked. We should also thank God for the ones willing to do this, in bad times and good there is someone willing.

Life

God gave us all life, life starts at conception. We should enjoy the life we have and thank God for it. Whether we have an easy life or a hard life it is ours. God gave us freewill to make decisions regarding our life and sometimes they may not be the best ones. I know for certain though if God is part of your life you will never be alone. Is God part of your life? If not then why?

God gave us life for a reason, do you know what it is? It may be to help others, it may be for a lesson on how not to live. You may have been given life to give it up saving someone. Maybe you can talk to people or listen to them. Whatever reason God saw to give us life we should use or talents for him.

Know God?

God is available for us all. Many of us try doing things on our own when all we need is to ask God. If you do not know God you can, it doesn’t cost us anything to know Him. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is John 3:16. ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”(KJV).

This means everyone, it doesn’t matter how bad a person you think you are. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, His death, burial and resurrection, confess your sins and accept Him into your heart. Me and my buddy Roscoe, my son and his girlfriend brought Roscoe home when he was just a pup. They found Roscoe abandoned at the little store just down from our house and felt bad for him. Many years later Roscoe has grown up, gained a little weight and has gotten a little spoiled.
